Efield AB has been acquired by ESI Group, headquartered in Paris. ESI is a pioneer and world-leading player in virtual prototyping that take into account the physics of materials. Efield FDTD sets a new standard in High-performance Computing, HPC [2011-11-25 ]
The soon upcoming release of Efield FDTD shows almost perfect scalability in both memory and simulation time on distributed clusters. This means that cluster simulations use all available resources efficiently and the problem size is only limited by the total capacity of the cluster. Efield receives research grant from NFFP [2011-09-07 ]
Efield has received a three-year research grant from the National Aeronautics Research Programme (NFFP) for a project aimed at signature optimization of broadband array antennas. The project will be performed in co-operation with Saab, Saab Dynamics and Lund University.

Efield gets large research grant from NFFP5 [2009-09-17 ]
Efield has received funding from the Swedish National Aerospace Research Programme No 5 (NFFP5), for a three year research and development project in co-operation with FCC and Lund University. In this project we will develop a finite element solver in the frequency domain, which can be used together with the other Efield FD solvers using our unique hybrid approach, and many other new useful features for antenna integration studies.

Lund University gets Efield [2007-06-08 ]
Lund University has choosen Efield as its simulation environment for undergraduate and graduate education in electromgnetic theory. The agreement also contains a research cooperation between Efield and the Electromagnetic Theory Group at the Department of Electroscience.
Efield 4.0 released [2007-04-14 ]
The first public release of Efield is now available. We have chosen to name it 4.0. The background is that the GEMS research project, in which the software was initially developed, existed in three phases, GEMS, GEMS2 and GEMS3, each giving rise to a new level of functionality.
Efield-CADfix OEM agreement [2007-03-07 ]
On the first of February Efield and TranscenData Europe Ltd, providers of CADfix, entered into an OEM license agreement. This enables Efield to use CADfix as its geometry engine and basis for an efficient electromagnetic user interface including results presentation and animation. Read more here.
